Diary of a Composer

My dedicated composition time is weekday mornings from about 9am to 12 noon or 1:00. Today I worked on a simple melody for cello and guitar. I’ve been imagining an ensemble with the working title “Mystic Rain” (inspired by a successful group called The Secret Garden) with a lead instrument (say, piano, cello, mandolin, violin, flute, etc.) with string section backup. It is intuitive, uncomplicated music for a broad audience.
